PROJECTED END

These are not predictions from KMA Sports. They’re a collection of top-returning players + other returning contributors + 2022 conference wins.

1.Harlan (22)

2. Glenwood (19)

3. Denison-Schleswig & Lewis Central (18)

5. Kümper Catholic (17)

6. St Albert (15)

7. Atlantic & Creston (12)

Thoughts: Oh man. The projection system could die, depending on how this thing is oriented. The defending Class 2A champions are in a tie for…the third? I don’t know if I have much faith in that. Lewis Central may have lost a legendary senior class, but I find it hard to believe they won’t be fighting for the conference title again. The Titans have had at least a share of the championship title in the past five seasons.

Right now, Harlan has the greatest mix of returning scorers, assists and other contributors from last season. That puts them at the top, but I figured the projection system would be all over Glenwood to make the jump to the top of the league. You or Denison-Schleswig. Still, Harlan is the projection to make the jump from a solid No. 4 to the top. They’ve been right there in the recent past (they shared the championship with LC and Denison-Schleswig in 2019) so it might not be too much of a proposition. I just know I’m pretty excited to see how it turns out.
