First-time nominee Michelle Yeoh walks the red carpet in an angelic white gown. She talks about feeling at peace. She was attracted to her figure Everything everywhere at once because “all our mothers” are overlooked and the story was the perfect way to show that mothers are superheroes. “We’re the all-bagel. We’re a closed circle committed … We’re a family,” Yeoh said in reference to her cast and crew.

Austin Butler talks about being able to keep one of these elvis Outfits which is now in a box. When asked what his favorite Elvis song was, he said it was impossible to choose because it would be like picking a favorite child, he said.

Kimmell wows the audience by parachuting onto the stage top gun score plays! He jokes that Nicole Kidman has finally been fired from her ad as she sits front and centre.

Kimmell asks if Seth Rogen is into mushrooms. He jokes that Steven Spielberg was high when he was writing ET. He jokes about it bat girl became the first superhero to be defeated by an accounting department, in reference to the film’s prank.

Kimmell jokes that Tom Cruise and James Cameron, the two people who encouraged people to go back to theaters, aren’t at the Oscars tonight.

Jimmy Kimmell is danced off the stage by a group of dancers mid-speech and replaced by The Rock and Emily Blunt to announce Best Animated Picture. Nominees: Pinocchio, The Sea Creature, Marcel wears the shell with shoes on, Puss in Boots: The Last WishAnd To redden.

The award goes to Guillermo Tell Toro Pinocchio! He says animation is cinema and ready to move on to the next step. He thanks Netflix for making the film possible. He dedicates the award to his wife, children and late parents.
