Phil Trammell has been named the new executive director of the Nonprofit Resource Center in Chattanooga.
Trammell brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit development, administration, fundraising and event planning. He previously served as vice president of development at Habitat for Humanity for the past three years, having previously served as vice president of development at PBS television network WTCI.
Prior to that, he worked in banking, telecommunications and cable television for 25 years.
Theater Center appoints new marketing director
Rachel Carroll has joined the Chattanooga Theater Center as the new marketing manager for the nonprofit arts group.
Contributed Photo / Rachel CarrollCarroll holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from UTC. Before joining the Chattanooga Theater Centre, Carroll worked for the local non-profit organization Partnership for Families Children and Adults, WTCI-PBS, and most recently for the Chambliss Center for Children, where she served as communications coordinator for three years.
In her new position, she will support community engagement and awareness for the Chattanooga Theater Center as it enters its centennial season this year.
30 young professionals join the local Rotaract club
The Rotaract Club of Chattanooga, a Rotary-sponsored service club for young professionals ages 22 to 35, has enrolled 30 new members for 2023. New members were selected through a competitive nomination process and represent a variety of industries.
“This is an impressive group of young professionals,” said Cassidy Barnett, senior account manager for CBI Workplace Solutions, in an announcement of the new class. “Our goal is to help create strong leaders who will continue to positively impact change in our community. “

Anderson named among top advisors
Derrick Anderson, a financial advisor to Edward Jones for 18 years, has qualified for the firm’s Managing Partners Conference, which celebrates the performance of the firm’s top 400 advisers from the firm’s early 19,000 advisers.

He called the awardees “phenomenal practitioners who help clients achieve the goals they set for themselves and their families.”
Anderson, a board-certified financial planner, is a graduate of the University of Alabama and the College for Financial Planning, and was both Edward Jones’ regional leader and director.
