Pulte presents the collaboration with Ford during the Innovation Under the Stars event


Pulte recently showcased a unique collaboration with Ford Motor Company at an event showcasing the ability of the new F-150 Lightning all-electric truck to fully power a home. WITH KIND PHOTOS
Pulte Homes recently demonstrated its unique collaboration with Ford Motor Company when the automaker’s new all-electric F-150 Lightning truck rolled onto Babcock Ranch and powered the 3,654-square-foot Oakview innovation home. Nearly 200 guests attending Pulte’s Innovation Under the Stars event gave a taste of the Pulte-Ford collaboration and watched as the truck’s built-in Intelligent Backup Power feature used the vehicle’s battery to power the two-story, five-bedroom home Built with Ford+Sunrun’s home integration power system and Ford’s Charge Station Pro technology.
The Oakview is a Pulte Ford National Proving Grounds and one of two Pulte Testing Homes exploring cutting-edge technology, innovation and advanced green building systems for improved sustainability, energy and water efficiency, and healthier, smarter homes on the Innovation Way at Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar powered city.

LEFT: Engineered for improved energy efficiency, storm resistance, and security, Pulte’s Oakview features intelligent panels that monitor each circuit’s energy consumption, industry-first facial recognition security systems, spray-foam insulation that reduces air leaks by up to 83% and energy consumption by up to 40% reduced more.
Not only can the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning power a home for up to three days or more during a power outage, but it can also optimize a home’s energy use when bi-directional power is combined with other lower-carbon energy sources to reduce energy bills Increase the use of renewable energies and control consumption.
Pulte and Ford tested the synergy between caravans and trucks during Innovation Under the Stars. The event also offered a behind-the-scenes look at the innovations and latest advances the national home builder has incorporated into the Oakview model and the adjacent 2,408-square-foot Cobblestone model. Innovation Way, a collaboration between Babcock Ranch developer Kitson & Partners, FP&L, Pulte Homes, and other national builders, launched in Spring 2022 and is nearly halfway through a two-year test cycle by Florida Power & Light that measured the energy use of the houses is evaluated and compared.
