If all of March madness is like a holiday, then Selection Sunday is the first day of the holiday. In the weeks leading up to March 12th – selection Sunday – there was a lot of anticipation in the air. So many bracketologists try to predict what the NCAA committee will do.
We spend most of early selection Sunday watching matches. The SEC, American, Big 10, and Atlantic 10 are among the conferences that have held their tournament championships in the hours leading up to the 6:00 p.m. EST start time.
We’ll soon have some answers to early questions; How many teams will the ACC get on (if I’m looking at you, NC State, Clemson and Pittsburgh)? What storylines will we be able to find in the early matchups? Can Vanderbilt come in? What about the state of Arizona? and so much more.

The Midwest region
*Interesting with Houston to drop into the tournament and keep the one seed. will Markus Sasser be healthy? Bracket breaks for some Rock Fight type matchups.
*Indiana is a boom or bust four seeds, could run or fall early. You have the talent. Can Trayce Jackson Daivs And Jalen Hood Schifino Get ongoing help?
*If Norchad Omier is healthy, Miami is not a team that many want to play.
*Few teams play that well Pennsylvania. Hard draw in 7/10 game for Texas A&M, who finished second in the SEC.
* Talk a lot Texas this season. Many say if Rodney Terry can run in the tournament, the job is up to him. Colgate is a tough draw, and then the winner of Pennsylvania, Texas A&M.
*If Pittsburgh can make it to the second round against xavierthe game will be fun.
The South Region
*Alabama gets the No. 1 overall seed. Playing their prelims in Birmingham, Alabama. Should be a nice home crowd for the Crimson Tide.
*The NCAA committee fielded a pair of mid-majors against each other, with Charleston And State of San Diego in the matchup 5/12. With that, the surprise is off the table as both teams are capable of making a run.
*Bob Richey (Furman) And Pat Kelsey (Charleston) are both mid-major coaches who could be hot names in this off-season coaching carousel.
*NC state vs. Creighton in the matchup 6/11 there could be an absolute shootout. Both teams have been up the buckets all season. Regard Terquavion Smith against this Creighton defense.
*Alabama And Arizona are exciting. It will be interesting to see if both make it to the end. The winner of State of Utah vs. Missouri Game could be prepared to make a run
*Regard Charleston Here. They are a brave team that really packs a punch.

*Slightly surprising memphis decreases Houston in the American Athletic Conference title game. They didn’t steal a bid, but this win should certainly add to their seeding. Houston hit memphis twice since February 19, and as we all know, winning three is tough. memphis has beaten nine of their past non-Houston teams. Deandre Williams And Kendric Davis are currently playing as well as any other duo in the country. Davis averaged 28.0 points and Williams averaged 26.0 points and 12.3 rebounds.
*Despite the delay Pennsylvania, Purdue won the Big 10 Conference championship behind 30 points and 13 rebounds by the National Player of the Year nominee Zach Edey. Purdue was at the top of the Big 10 from start to finish and was a staple of the AP top ten for most of the latter part of the season. Despite a choppy February, the Boilermakers are on a nice five-game winning streak heading into the tournament.
*It is approximately 3:15 p.m., and VCU earned his offer to dance with her come-from-behind win Dayton in the Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship game. The Rams have won 10 of their last 11 and are playing excellent basketball. Only one team in those 11 games has scored more than 68 points.
*Right at 4:00 p.m. and Alabama takes the SEC title by beating Texas A&M, whom they lost to just 8 days ago. Alabama has won seven of its last eight, and no game in the SEC tournament has been within ten points. Likely National Freshman of the Year Brandon Miller was named SEC Tournament MVP with an average of 20.3 per game.
